What Hong Kong People think most deserved products you need to buy in Hong Kong

When I have time, I will spend my time on reading other people's travelling note
seem like I had been there bofore
I do have a weird habit is reading Hong Kong's travelling note.
seriously, I actually very curios of foreign country people's angle in looking Hong Kong

I found out you guys are really "typical tourist"

every single one do the same thing in Hong Kong or only go the famous place in the travelling magazine
Sometimes I would think that Japanese will think Hong Kong people and Taiwanese are weirdo
since every single Hong Kong people and Taiwanese would just rob their ''Thor Chocolate"
(it is a Japanese brand chocolate which is well-known in Hong Kong people and Taiwanese)
seems like these chocolate do not cost any money
if not, they would just rob "potato three brother" (it is a snack made in a form of French fries)
I guess maybe Japanese do not think these thing is not tasty at all LOL
they may just feel so confuse and doubt that why foreign people buy all these products in stock.

Firstly, let me say
WHAT HONG KONG PEOPLE THINK MOST DESERVED PRODUCTS
YOU NEED TO BUY IN HONG KONG

1. Vita lemon tea
One more time of seriously,
I really don't get the part of
I really don't get the part of
I really don't get the part of
(it is a must in repeating the important thing at three times LOL)
How dare that there is not a person said or mentioned before the Vita Lemon Tea
Hong Kong people drink lots of lemon tea, the situation just likes lemon tea abuse(?)

In the morning, we'll get a tetra-pack of lemon tea
In the afternoon, when we are having our lunch, we'll order a glass of lemon tea
At night, we'll get another tetra-pack of lemon tea

Actually, for tetra-pack lemon tea  there are 2 choices

For my personally favourite is VITA, it is because it tastes less sweet

Another choice is SUNSHINE lemon tea which is way too sweet for me!
(declaration: I am an ant which is describing someone who can bear very high sweetness)

However Hong Kong people are obsessed in lemon tea
That's why VITA had developed different kind of flavour, for example, lime flavour, honey flavour etc

my personally favourite in all the VITA lemon tea is Ceylon red tea flavour
as its tea scent and taste would be much more stronger than the other flavour
also, it would taste a little bit bitter that makes people would enjoy various taste
and flavour within a slip of lemon tea  AWESOME!

but I do have bunch of friends would enjoy the original flavour of VITA lemon tea
so it is determine to yourselves, you can get a tetra-pack of lemon tea from the convenience shop
7-11/OK, see whether you love which one :-D
I think tetra-pack of lemon tea is a incredibly good choice as a souvenir to remind about Hong Kong
or let friends and family to feel about the daily life and food culture of Hong Kong

THREE REASONS YOU NEED TO BUY LEMON TEA :-D
first: not pricy at all, only costs you around HKD$15/six tetra-pack
second: tetra-pack is ready for one person to enjoy, thus it is easily to give away to family and friends
third: tetra-pack lemon tea can keep its quality of lemon tea, maintain its hygiene and easily for preserve.
fourth: sometimes would have some limited edition which so cute and so collect-able (is that a word LOL)

2. Vita Milk Tea/YuanYang
I guess everyone knows whenever you come to Hong Kong you have to go and take a milk tea/yuan yang
unless you seem like never come to Hong Kong at all
Vita milk tea/yuan yang taste really nice
when you swallow them to your stomach those liquid pass through your throat
you can feel their thick and rich texture of the mixture of milk and tea or milk tea or coffee
and there will be strong aromatic scent of milk and coffee remained into your mouth cavity
(i am now open my dictionary in searching the best vocabulary in describing the food
sorry for poor describing   I'll try to do better in my following blog!!! )

THREE REASONS YOU NEED TO BUY MILK TEA/ YUAN YANG :-D
first: not pricy at all, only costs you around HKD$20/six tetra-pack
second: tetra-pack is ready for one person to enjoy, thus it is easily to give away to family and friends
third: tetra-pack can keep its quality of milk tea/ yuan yang, maintain its hygiene and easily for preserve.

3. Hot&Spicy potato chips/ Hot wave potato chips
in the previous time in Asia, suddenly there was a trend from Korea potato chip rose up
that potato chip was honey butter flavour and it was really hard to buy one
Koreans purchased that chips were not purchased it one bag by one bag
they were actually purchased one box by one box :-O
but after I got to taste that honey butter chips, my reaction was
Er......

Hong Kong Hot Wave potato chips is way too better than that
(actually its name is HOT&SPICY potato chips but I think it would be hard for recognition
thus I put on its name in HOT WAVE which is directly translate from the Chinese name LOL)

HOT WAVE potato chip is covered full with the red spicy powders
however, it is not as spicy as you think.  actually it tastes not-choking spicy with little bit of sweetness
at least you do not need to eat one chip drink one glass of water
once you try, you can never get rid of its taste
you will just could not stop from eating this

4. Kee Wah Bakery Egg Roll
I still remembered when I first time ate the Kee Wah Bakery egg roll was due to the Lunar New Year

note for foreign people: when Lunar New Year, Chinese will go to family of friends' house
as Chinese will not go to other people's house without any present
it is because this action in our eyes is extraordinary rude and disrespectful
thus when we need to visit other, we will bring some chocolate/cookies/fruit etc
that's why I receive a Kee Wah Bakery egg roll

back to the track, once I bit that egg roll, I found out it tastes amazing
as its egg roll with a paper-like-thin and full of butter smell crispy
skin(?)/ epidermis(?)/ cuticle(?)
I DON'T KNOW WHAT WORD I NEED TO USE!!! SO SORRY LOL

more than that, the first roll I was take the original flavour
it had already make feel like   it was the best egg roll ever I had tasted in my entire life!!!!
however, this statement was overthrew right after 2 seconds later
AFTER I TASTED THE COFFEE FLAVOUR

I am not fans of coffee actually I kinda hate coffee as some of the coffee taste too bitter
and make my stomach feel so uncomfortable
but this egg roll is different (if you a fans of coffee, probably you die)

the coffee one has a little bit over baked, thus it contain a special scorched smell
it will not too over that make you feel uncomfortable, just like caramel with slightly scorched smell
this scorched smell and taste give egg roll a special magic flavour.

fun story when I was eating these egg roll
I thought I would eat 2 egg rolls and stop
but the fact was I lost the ability in stop putting the egg rolls in my mouth!

this sweet was invited Korean star Lee Kwang Soo to take a advertisment

the classic sweet of frutips is black currant flavour
it would taste a bit too sweet for normal people, since I am an ant thus it is totally fine for me
outside its black sugar it was coated with a layer of sugar
then there will be created 2 different of taste
outside is rough and hard inside is soft
after the layer of sugar are melted in your mouth
then you can taste the significant taste of black currant would rush into every corner of your mouth

there is no reason to not know about Dragon Beard Candy is a Hong Kong local specialty
easily to be found in the supermarket of snack column
I saw Asian food test by smosh on YouTube

I don't get it of their feeling LOL
as this candy is made by a special techniques as a way to make the hair-like structure

however, NISSIN is a Japanese brand and the XO sauce flavour is limited in Hong Kong
Question: limited is what? Answer: BUY

you can also get a bottle of XO sauce which is made by lots of seafood
so you can imagine how rich of seafood flavour it could be tasted
it could be easily found in the supermarket of sauce column
I could actually only use a spoon of XO sauce to finish a bowl of rice
XO SAUCE IS EVERYTHING!

12.  NIN JIOM Herbal collection
it is a really reticulas situation that Hong Kong people go to Japan to buy drugs for protection throat
but Japanese come to Hong Kong for getting the Nin Jiom herbal collection for the same purpose

method to eat: take spoon to dig a tea spoon size of the herbal black paste
and after eating that paste drink water

it is really work whenever your throat is getting painful or swelling
since this collection contain the Chinese medical formula thus it could solve your sickness of throat
you will feel a cooling effect on your throat and relief the redness and pain in several hours later
during my whole childhood this herbal paste has next to me already until now

BUT PLEASE BE REMINDED THAT
if you is not a Asian DON'T BUY

as I mentioned above it contain Chinese medical formula
for European or American etc you guys would definitely not comfortable with that

but I suggest you guys don't get that paste instead buy this herbal candy
it is much more acceptable for people-who-are-not-Asian
as the basic formula is still contain Chinese medical but this herbal candy add the additional tangerine and lemon in it.

aloha! hi everyone.
it is weird that to do my introduction at the end of the passage? LOL
it is my first blog   that's why I have to do a introduction
hi guys! my name is 阿糖(ah tong) who is a normal, ordinary student in Hong Kong
or you guys can just directly call me "tong"  it is still cool for me

as English is not my first language for those readers from Britain, America, Australia, Canada
I feel so sorry about my tons of grammatical mistakes,
please comment down below of my mistakes
or tell me which words was used wrong or not accurately/ sentence structure is wrong
I'll spend my time to correct all of them as to improve my ability of  English
thank you guys :-D

I feel really angry of what Hong Kong government's policy make
only turn Hong Kong into a shopping mall
but I think people come to Hong Kong to travel cannot only because
Hong Kong can buy many duty-free stuffs or can get every single brand from the world easily
I think people shall come to Hong Kong for travelling is because
they are attracted by Hong Kong's culture, food, people, history etc

therefore I am trying to type words to introduce an another angle to enjoy of Hong Kong
(there is a another reason too  it is because I am undergoing my summer holiday
thus I have plenty of time in sitting in front of the computer LOL)
Hey! summer holiday gets me bored
I've been shut at home for long time enough LOL
so I start to write blog, take photos, seem like quite interesting(?)

AT LEAST STRONGER TO THE LIFE OF SLEEPING AND EATING LOL

I hope foreign people can know Hong Kong a little bit more deeply by reading through my words
of course it is my website, thus you can't get rid from reading some of my life record LOL
*all photos are get from Google*

#阿糖 #THE END
